Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our salon team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency with office management tools. The Receptionist will handle appointment scheduling, manage multi-line phone systems, and support administrative tasks to contribute to a welcoming and efficient salon environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Manage appointment scheduling using calendar management software
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
  • Handle client inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing accurate information about services and availability
  • Maintain organized filing systems for client records, invoices, and other documents
  • Process payments accurately using QuickBooks or other accounting software
  • Support office management tasks such as data entry, proofreading, and document preparation
  • Manage correspondence through Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications
  • Assist with bookkeeping and basic office administrative duties including filing and document organization
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a professional environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience in office management, clerical work, or receptionist roles within a salon or medical setting preferred
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, data entry, and office software tools
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and excellent phone etiquette skills
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse clientele effectively
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail for proofreading, data accuracy, and filing tasks
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks or bookkeeping is advantageous
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and maintain professionalism at all times
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy salon setting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
