Position OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our finance team. This is a focused, specialized role responsible solely for day-to-day accounts receivable operations, including cash application, invoicing, payment reconciliation and resolving AR discrepancies.This position is suited for someone who excels in structured work, values consistency, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency, ideal for someone who wants to maintain a strong routine within their area of expertise, values stability and contributing to the long-term success of our team. Essential FunctionsApply all incoming payments (lockbox, ACH, checks, etc.) accurately and timelyResearch and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash, short payments, and discrepanciesProcess customer refunds in accordance with company proceduresGenerate premium invoices for insurance-related billingConduct account reconciliations to maintain accuracy of receivablesProvide AR-related support to internal departments (underwriting and account services)Respond to customer inquiries related to billing and account status in a professional and timely mannerMaintain detailed and organized records in compliance with company and audit standardsHandle ad-hoc tasks and requests as needed Job Requirements Required:High School DiplomaMinimum of 3 years of experience in an accounts receivable-focused positionPreferred:Associate’s degree preferred (a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is a plus)Familiarity with insurance industry operations or premium billing is a plus CompetenciesSolid understanding of AR processesStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting softwareComfortable working in a structured environment with repetitive tasksProfessional communication skills—verbal and writtenCapable of working independently as well as collaboratively in team environmentsConsistent, reliable, and organized with a focus on efficiency Work Environment and Physical DemandsInside climate-controlled office buildingProlonged sitting and using a PC<10% TravelAbility to lift 25lbs Department Overview The Finance Team aligns best practice financial concepts and intended outcomes to the benefit and regulation of the HAI Group enterprise, Board of Directors and Strategic Committee.
