The Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Land Survey Field Technician to join our crew. In this role, your primary mission will be executing field operations and meticulously preparing field notes specifically for Surveyor Location Reports (SLRs). If you enjoy working independently outdoors, appreciate precision, and want a stable career with an established local firm, this is the perfect fit.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct field research, locate property boundaries, and gather accurate structural data for Surveyor Location Reports.
- Prepare clear, precise, and highly detailed field notes and sketches that our office team can seamlessly interpret.
- Drive and maintain a company-provided field vehicle safely throughout the greater Indianapolis area.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Land Survey Field Crew Member or Field Tech (experience focusing on residential SLRs is a major plus).
- Sharp eye for detail with excellent sketching and handwriting skills for field notes.
- Ability to work efficiently outdoors in varying Indiana weather conditions and navigate different terrain.
- Solid math and spatial reasoning skills.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (required for company vehicle insurance).
