Store Counter Sales / The Tool Shed
The Tool Shed is Greenville’s leading tool distributor for both professionals and home DIYer’s. We are a service first company that focuses on supporting our customers’ needs with our experienced staff and quality brands. The Tool Shed has been serving the Greenville, Anderson, Spartanburg area for 45 years.
Purpose of Role – Counter Sales, Customer Service, Showroom.
Requirements: Friendly personality who enjoys working with, learning about, and talking about tools. Great verbal communication skills and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license. High school or equivalent education. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience Required: Basic knowledge of tools and their uses. Be familiar with computer basics. Woodworking or trades experience and a knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
Primary Duties –
- Greeting customers and helping them find the right tool for their job.
- Answering the phone and helping with customer phone inquiries.
- Writing up orders and processing payments.
- Expediting special orders and backorders.
- Assisting with the daily operations and upkeep of the business (counter, showroom, warehouse).
- Restocking the showroom when new merchandise arrives.
- Resetting, cleaning, and general maintenance of the showroom displays (pricing, display tool assembly, etc.)
- Promoting The Tool Shed Brand of excellent customer service via always presenting yourself in a professional manner.
