Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for executing Haggerty Construction Inc.’s (HCI) vision and strategic direction. This leadership role drives departmental performance by overseeing day-to-day operations, managing financial targets, optimizing systems and processes, and fostering a high-performance team culture. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the Operations Manager plays a critical role in aligning restoration activities with corporate goals, supporting growth, innovation, and client satisfaction.
Job Objectives
- Implement HCI’s strategic vision through effective leadership, communication, and execution.
- Oversee all operational functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource management to ensure financial and procedural alignment.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team through coaching, training, and a strong emphasis on culture and accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement through measurable results, data analysis, and process optimization across all restoration projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage department budgets, presenting updates to the Executive Team.
- Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and forecast updates.
- Reconcile and explain variances through Bridging the Gap reporting (actual vs. budget).
- Manage internal controls for all departmental assets (equipment, vehicles, tools).
- Collaborate with leadership to refine and implement strategic plans.
- Optimize operational workflows, systems, and technology for efficiency and scalability.
- Establish and maintain business models that support long-term departmental goals.
- Monitor key metrics and evaluate results to drive performance improvement.
- Lead the development and oversight of employee onboarding, performance tracking, and training programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and inclusion.
- Oversee internal surveys, client feedback loops, and project debriefs to strengthen team performance and client satisfaction.
- Define job roles, develop personal growth plans, and maintain a structure that supports organizational health.
- Direct all administrative tasks related to direct reports, including reviews and performance tracking.
- Support cross-departmental collaboration and ensure alignment with broader company goals.
- Guide marketing efforts specific to the department to support internal and external engagement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and budgeting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDFs, and project management tools
- Proven success in leading and developing teams with a focus on results on culture
- Experience with Restoration Manager, XactAnalysis, or similar restoration industry platforms
Preferred/Considered:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of operational leadership experience, preferably in construction or restoration
