Overview:
The Assistant Package Designer will support the daily activities of the packaging department to ensure accurate and timely production of packaging materials.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist in market research to support trend finds and new concepts
- Understand and support the print production process from start to finish
- Help to update artwork, copy, and corresponding files according to both written and verbal feedback across stakeholders
- Assist in troubleshooting and communicating issues pertaining to vendor approvals and/or production changes
- Update art and production files
- Help to send out standards and new developments to suppliers for review and pricing
- Track and update the packaging sample schedule to ensure deadlines are being met
- Help to update and maintain development tracking charts, packaging brief submits and quality standards library
- Communicate submit (sample & production) comments between the Packaging team and appropriate cross-functional teams
- Meet all deadlines in adherence to the seasonal design calendar
- Special projects as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field
- Experience or internship in the fashion industry (children’s wear knowledge a plus)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Adobe Illustrator
- Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
- Work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Illustration skills a plus

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
