What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Hackensack Meridian Village Pharmacy?
Pharmacy Technician Duties (60%)
- Accurately and efficiently process prescriptions using PioneerRx.
- Assist pharmacists in packaging and dispensing medications.
- Manage medication synchronization and refill coordination programs.
- Support vaccine preparation, patient intake, and documentation.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and DME tracking.
Pharmacy Marketing Duties (40%)
- Serve as a community ambassador for the pharmacy, visiting local physicians’ offices, senior centers, gyms, and community groups to promote services (vaccines, DME, weight loss programs, etc.).
- Plan and execute in-store promotions, health events, and patient education campaigns.
- Assist with social media content, email campaigns, and patient communications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local providers, wellness professionals, and organizations.
- Track outreach efforts and report ROI of marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to implement new growth strategies.
