What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Millstone Pharmacy?
Millstone Pharmacy is an independent retail pharmacy engaging in a variety of specialized medicine such as dermatology, pain management, and endocrinology. Additionally, we are heavily focused on clinical services such as vaccination. We are looking for a responsible, self-motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Millstone, NJ. This person will communicate with patients and health insurance providers to effectively process and fill medications, set up medication deliveries and help grow the pharmacy. Experience working in a retail pharmacy is a must. Experience with Micro Merchant Systems/PrimeRx is a plus (if so, include this in your resume). Certification is preferred, but not required. Competitive pay offered. Compensation will be based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities include
- Label and prepare products for patients
- Process prescriptions using computer software
- Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
- Answer and make daily calls to coordinate patient deliveries
- Complete insurance verification
- Apply manufacturers' coupons if applicable
- Assist with clinical services such as Flu and Covid-19 vaccine administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self motivated and positive demeanor

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Pharmacy technician: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
