Coordinates and supervises the delivery of Respiratory Care services. Acts as a resource person to the Respiratory Therapy staff. Provides quality respiratory care through the application of the patient care process and according to the established standards and duties of Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners in the State of New Jersey. Provides on call hours as needed.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
- Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Minimum of 5 years adult critical care experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care or ventilator weaning unit supervisory experience
- Minimum of 2 years pediatric experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience using the AVEA ventilator
- Minimum of 2 years experience using arterial blood gas analyzing equipment
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
