Highlights
- Provide continuous and comprehensive clinical care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
- Support the preoperative consultative service for patients with diabetes.
- Facilitate inpatient diabetes consultations for medical and surgical patients
- Assume a teaching role for medical students, residents, advanced practice providers and endocrinology fellows.
- Assist in developing patient care protocols, hospital-based policies and discharge planning to improve care optimization
- Collaborate with diabetes care and education specialists to improve patient education and diabetes care.
- Participate in the equitable 24/7/365 on-call schedule, including weeknights, weekends, holidays, and vacation coverage, in collaboration with practice physicians.
- Provide seven (7) 24-hour periods of unrestricted hospital call coverage every eight (8) weeks for Emergency Department and inpatient endocrinology consultations.
- MD, DO Degree from a recognized medical school;
- Completion of a fellowship in endocrinology in a recognized institution;
- Experience in endocrinology/diabetes and/or an affiliation with an academic institution
- Ability to relate effectively to all levels of the clinical and administrative structure of the medical center as well as of other institutions affiliated with the Division of Endocrinology
- Board Certified Internal Medicine & Endocrinology
- Ability to obtain and/or possess a New Jersey Medical License
