The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital Level IIIC NICU at Hackensack University Medical Center Neonatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.
Part-Time (20 hrs/week) position
APNs must have NNP cert. PA's must have either NICU fellowship or prior Neonatal experience.
The Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) operates a 48-bed, state-designated Regional Perinatal Center at the in Hackensack, NJ. The unit offers specialized services including whole-body cooling, high-frequency ventilation, and is the first in New Jersey to earn Disease-Specific Care certification in prematurity care.
