Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a CAT Scan Technician located in Hackensack, NJ. The CAT Scan Technician will be responsible for preparing patients and operating CT scanners to capture diagnostic images. Daily tasks will include reviewing patient histories, positioning patients, conducting imaging procedures, and maintaining accurate records. The technician will also ensure compliance with safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure while delivering excellent patient care and support.
Qualifications
- Experience with CT imaging procedures, understanding of radiologic techniques and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of patient positioning, imaging equipment operation, and image evaluation for quality diagnostic results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Technical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency in maintaining accurate records and utilizing diagnostic equipment.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the ARRT, with advanced certification in CT imaging preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Physical ability to assist patients during positioning and prolonged periods of standing.
