Position Purpose
Support ReStore operations by assisting customers and donors with unloading donations and loading purchases, maintaining an organized and safe backroom and donation dock, and efficiently moving merchandise between the dock and sales floor.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer and donor service in every interaction
- Safely and efficiently load and unload donated and purchased merchandise
- Assist with loading and unloading ReStore trucks
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe backroom and dock areas
- Follow all safety procedures when moving merchandise
- Communicate donation acceptance policies clearly and respectfully
- Stay knowledgeable about products, services, and store policies
- Collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers
- Operate a forklift (certification required; training provided if needed)
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Climb steps into forklift cab
- Stand and move for extended periods
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Rotating schedule (store open 7 days per week)
- One additional day off scheduled by supervisor
- Shifts may begin as early as 8:30 AM and end as late as 7:00 PM
- Occasional holiday shifts required
- Reports to: Backroom Supervisor
- Supervision Level: Minimal supervision required
