Overview
Habitat for Humanity’s mission brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Construction Site Supervisor to join our construction team and help coordinate tasks while supervising teams of volunteers on Habitat build sites. Strong leadership and communication are key to successful engagement and mentoring of volunteer teams. This role is vital in ensuring that all aspects of the construction process are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with blueprints, schematics and site plans. The regular workweek is Tuesdays through Saturdays, with some flexibility.
Duties
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and training sessions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to verify work aligns with design specifications.
- Assist Construction Manager with project schedules to meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation.
- Oversee quality control processes, inspecting work for adherence to standards and addressing issues promptly.
- Lead supervision of on-site volunteer teams, providing guidance, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale residential projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site operations including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and experience implementing safety programs on-site.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and managing contracts to maintain scope integrity.
Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
