Job title & Position Number: Restore Cashier
Job Summary/Duties: Reporting to the Restore Manager Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho, Employees in this position are responsible for day-to-day operations of the ReStore. The intended purpose of the restore is to sell a wide selection of new, blemished, and useable quality building material, tools, and house goods in the Kootenai County Area at lowered prices (50-75% below retail) through the operation of a retail warehouse owned and operated by the Affiliate. Proceeds benefit the construction of houses in the area served by Habitat.
Salary grade: Hourly $18.03
Reporting to: ReStore Manager
Skills requirements: Knowledge of retail operations and experience working in a retail building supply environment. Communication Skills, Sales, Knowledge of and ability to follow best practice and procedures related to retail and ability to orders over the phone.
Interactions: The persons in this position will interact with the general public and all levels of management. It will be necessary for this position to communicate effectively via various modes of communication (face-to-face, phone, email, etc.)
Organizational level: This position works under the direct supervision of the ReStore Manager, ReStore Manager reports to the Executive Director,
Working Conditions: Individual will be working in the restore but occasionally in the warehouse and outside. Light lifting required.
Education/ Job requirements: High school diploma/GED required. Experience in retail and a combination of education and experience necessary to complete these functions is required. Drug testing also required.
Notes/Other: Job Duties also include cleaning.
May lift up to 25 pounds.
Computer knowledge for pricing preferred
Assist store customers
Pick-ups and drop-offs as necessary or needed
Maintain store: Clean shelves and retail displays and restock merchandise as needed
Process donated inventory
Provide support to ReStore Manager as needed.
