Full-Time Dispatch Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced truck dispatcher that can assist with scheduling our 6-7 truck teams that are out daily collecting donations. The Dispatch Supervisor is also in charge of truck upkeep and maintenance scheduling.
PURPOSE: Dispatchers are responsible for scheduling vehicles to receive donations in the most efficient manner while representing Habitat Values in each encounter.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREEN.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Accurately accept donation information from customers
- Understand store criteria for donation acceptance
- Schedule appointments with donors
- Enter and maintain all information on current scheduling software with all necessary details
- Keep customer information and dispatch schedules current at all times so that all stores can access accurate information.
- Confirm and provide times for all appointments one business day prior
- Send routes to assigned trucks before 1st appointment daily
- Notify customers of necessary changes to appointments/make every effort to keep original appointment with alternate resources
- Maintain a wait list for those requesting unavailable dates and contact to schedule in event of cancellation
- Answer phones and provide customers with store information
- Provide information to inquiring customers about the mission of Habitat and how their donation is used.
- Maintain safe, clean, organized work environment
- Perform other duties as directed on as-needed basis

Essential Job Functions:
- Effective communication and listening skills both verbal and non-verbal.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and other assorted cloud-based programs.
- Ability to sit stationary or walk and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull and subject to environmental conditions, noise and hazards.
- Worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or power tools and copier equipment.
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Typical retail store settings combined with outside environmental conditions; subject to noise, vibration, hazards and activities occurring inside and outside and often extreme temperatures.
- Limited travel may be required, fast paced environment with medium-high stress based on multiple projects, deadlines, timelines and the need to react quickly and respond quickly.
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday through Saturday with a day off during the week. CLOSED Sundays.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
