At the ReStore, your work has a purpose you can see every day. You'll help customers find useful items, make it easy for neighbors to donate, and work with a team that cares about the people we serve. Whether you're at the register, on the sales floor, at the dock, or picking up a donation, you'll help turn everyday transactions into support for local families.

Help turn donated goods into opportunities for local families. As a ReStore Associate, you'll welcome shoppers and donors, process purchases, receive and prepare donations, and help keep the store and dock safe and organized. Depending on the day's needs and your qualifications, you may also pick up donations in a ReStore vehicle.

What you'll do

• Greet customers and donors, answer questions, and help them find or donate items.
• Operate the register, process payments, and follow cash handling and store procedures.
• Receive, inspect, sort, price, move, and display donated merchandise according to ReStore guidelines.
• Help customers and donors load or unload items when appropriate.
• Keep the sales floor, checkout area, dock, and receiving areas clean and safe.
• Work alongside staff and volunteers, report safety concerns, and support opening and closing tasks.
• If assigned to donation pickups: drive a ReStore vehicle, complete vehicle inspections, follow scheduled routes, and safely load, secure, transport, and unload donations.

What you'll bring

• Friendly, dependable customer service and clear communication.
• Basic math skills and the ability to learn a point-of-sale system.
• Attention to detail, good judgment, and a willingness to work across store and donation operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical work in retail, dock, and outdoor settings.
• For driving assignments, a valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and the ability to meet requirements for operating ReStore vehicles.

Retail, cashier, warehouse, moving, or delivery experience is helpful, but a commitment to serving customers and Habitat's mission matters most. The role involves moving heavy or awkward items; associates use team assistance and equipment when needed. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified applicants and employees.
