POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for performing functions related to the shipping, receiving and delivery of supplies, matierals and equipment, while maintaining inventory control and records to ensure accurate system information.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

• Involved in both the loading and unloading of freight (materials, machinery, chemicals and supplies) both manually or with equipment such as folklifts and pallet jacks.
• Verifies quantity and quality of all orders / shipments received and sent against purchase orders and completes a thorough examination of materials.
• Prepares items for shipment to customers and/or return to supplier.
• Delivers and retrieves supplies and materials to and from warehouse or storage areas as may be required.
• Maintain record keeping systems and mark materials with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc.
• Responsible for adhering to all shipping and receiving procedures.
• Other duties as may be assigned or required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good communication skills; both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Computer proficiency to include accessing information on a computer; reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to bend, stoop lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout an 8 hour shift
• Ability to work in an environment with changing temperatures
• Valid and clean driving record with the ability to drive company vehicles to deliver products / items to key clients as required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience operating material handling equipment; pallet jacks
• Experience handling, storing, and shipping materials or supplies
• Experience operating material handling equipment; pallet jacks & forklifts
• Willingness to be trained on the operation of power and/or hand tools
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

COMPETENCIES:

• High School Education or Equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of related experience
• Experience using Epicor (ERP System)
• Basic Computer proficiency

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
