The Position
This position is responsible for managing the daily operational needs of fabrication and supporting the development of new business opportunities and capital Investments.
The main responsibilities are:
- Manages and directs fabrication department to support sales deman
- dEstablishes operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
- Establishes manufacturing policies in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures
- Oversees expense budgets to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements
- Develops capital requests as need to support continuous improvement
- Manages and ensures employee training, development, and succession planning
- Develops innovative solutions for new business opportunities
- Manages fabrication assets and ensures proper maintenance, replacement and upgrades are completed in a timely manner
- Develops and manages relevant KPIs in accordance for business needs
- Develops and manages capacity and resource planning
Education and Experience
- Required – BS/BA in Engineering
- Required – 5 to 8 years of industrial management and engineering experiece
- Required – Experience with developing functional and capital expense budgets
- Required – Experience with managing innovation & solutions
- Required – Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Required – Experience with developing and implement Lean operations
