We are a busy construction company based in Fredericksburg specializing in historic and high end work. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mason's Helper and a Carpenter Helper. Both positions will assist as a jobsite cleaner and material runner. Ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction and restoration industry. Both positions will assist experienced carpenters and masons in various tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards. Ideally, we are looking for a long-term employee that is interested in advancement and a career in the trades. We offer full-time year-round work. You must have a valid drivers license with good record, no DUI in the last 5 years. You must be comfortable driving a full size pick-up and able to lift 80 lbs. You must be reliable and organized. You must be able to pass a background check. Wages start at $20.00.
Responsibilities
- Delivering materials and tools to various job sites.
- Assisting carpenters.
- Assisting masons.
- Demo.
- Job site clean up.
- Operate power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
Requirements
- Familiarity with power tools and construction techniques is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting heavy materials. Must be able to lift 80lbs.
