Ice Cream Shop Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated full-time Ice Cream Shop Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. In this role, you will work independently during quiet daytime hours—handling opening duties and direct customer service—and transition into a leadership role as evening staff arrives. This is a hands-on position requiring active scooping alongside management duties, and we provide comprehensive training to set you up for success.

Responsibilities

• Open the shop independently and manage all solo daytime operations during slower hours.
• Serve customers directly by scooping ice cream and operating the register throughout your shift.
• Train employees on customer service, portion control, and shop protocols.
• Order inventory and manage stock levels to ensure flavors and supplies are always available.
• Create schedules for the team to ensure optimal staffing for the busy evening rush.
• Supervise staff and delegate tasks once evening help arrives after 4:00 PM.
• Enforce safety and food handling hygiene guidelines across the entire team.
• Manage daily register reconciliation, and shop opening/closing checklists.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous food service, retail, or shift lead experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, time management, and ability to work independently.
• Attributes: Self-motivated leader, reliable opener, and an enthusiastic team player.
• Availability: Full-time open availability, specifically for morning and daytime shifts.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
