Job Title: CNC Laser Operator - Weekend Shift
Job Type: Full-time, Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm)
Location: Schaumburg, IL. 60173

Position Overview:
The CNC Laser Operator will prepare and operate Trumpf laser cutting machine(s) to support production team(s) in accordance with company specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections.
- Adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobs, read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
- Be comfortable using measuring tools to complete tasks (micrometers, height gages and bore gages).
- Set-up, adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobs
- Ensure material is loaded into the laser, and the machine control is set-up to run to schedule
- Deburring parts with file or grinder as needed
- Perform set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and manufacturing experience
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings
- Proficiency in laser cutting and programming
- Familiarity with GD&T and precision measuring instruments, including bore gauges and micrometers
- Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints
- Experience with hand tools, fabrication, and quality inspection
- Knowledge of machining processes, including CNC and press brake operation
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, and grasp.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and measuring equipment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manufacturing production environment.
- Regular exposure to machinery, metal materials, and industrial noise.
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet production demands.
