Position Overview:
The Functional Analyst plays a key role in designing, implementing, and extending the financial applications used within Amazon's global e-Business suite. This team is focused on the deployment of application extensions, gap analysis, and providing end-user support across multiple geographies to ensure robust financial operations.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Interact with business customers to understand and document complex business processes and requirements.
- Perform gap analysis to identify e-Business suite system configuration and necessary development changes.
- Create business requirements (BRD), functional design (FDD), test plans, and implementation documents.
- Collaborate with developers and Oracle Support to research, document, and resolve systemic Oracle issues.
- Design and implement system modifications for General Ledger and Accounts Receivable modules.
- Create SQL queries against Oracle tables to troubleshoot issues and develop ad-hoc reporting metrics.
