Position Summary
H3 Industrial is seeking a skilled and dependable Millwright to join our growing team. The ideal Millwright will have at least 5 years' experience and will be responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial machinery and mechanical systems across various customer sites. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. This is an onsite, in-person position with a regular shift of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some mandatory overtime, travel, and weekend work as required. A strong focus on safety and the ability to work independently is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, align, maintain, and dismantle industrial machinery, conveyors, pumps, and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Fabricate, weld, and machine replacement parts as needed to support repairs or installations.
- Operate hoists, cranes, and rigging equipment to move heavy machinery safely.
- Collaborate with engineers, welders, and fabricators to support project completion.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts used.
- Support field installations and shutdowns as required.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining efficiency and quality.
- Be available for overtime, weekend, and/or travel (some overnights) work as required to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial millwright or maintenance mechanic experience.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system knowledge.
- Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred (SMAW, MIG, TIG).
- Experience with alignment tools (dial indicators, laser alignment, etc.).
- Familiarity with machine shop operations a plus.
- Must have a complete and reliable set of millwright tools required to perform assigned tasks.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures in an industrial setting.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical environments.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
