H2O Terra LLC is looking to hire a Survey Manager to lead our survey team. We are looking for a manager focused on efficient project execution, employee growth and QA/QC.
H2O Terra is an established survey and engineering firm in El Paso, Texas. We provide quality solutions to our clients who depend on us to be accurate and concise with deliverables to ensure clarity and confidence on projects.
Projects include water and wastewater system design, commercial and residential land development, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and 3D field scanning.
· Current Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor licenserRequired
· Current New Mexico Registered Professional Land Surveyor license a plus
· 1-5 years’ experience as RPLS
· 10 plus years’ experience in surveying
· Solid working knowledge of current survey equipment and software technologies, including Trimble and AutoCAD
· Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
· Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Trimble software
· Must be proficient with Microsoft office
· Proficiency with ESRI and GIS Database management and collection strategies a plus
· Project Scope – Calculate and verify boundaries for subdivisions, ALTA/ACSM surveys, and easements. Compose metes and bounds descriptions to identify parcels with bearings and distances. Research deeds and other legal land documents to determine parcel boundaries and right-of-way limits for subdivision plats. Provide and convert field data with Autodesk and Trimble software. Understand and interpret construction plans for the purpose of construction staking.
· Communications - Consult/communicate with client representatives to assist with the coordination of project activities relative to the company’s scope of services. Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Communicating with key Project Personnel - Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
· Project Management - Assist project managers and engineers with development of project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, professional service proposals and cost estimates. Prepare progress reports for management/client. Assist with Job Plan preparation. Prepare field/office work assignments and work orders.
· Mentor staff to ensure knowledge growth, compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, company policies and client policies.
- · QAQC/Evaluation -Develop and implement survey operation procedures. Provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control Inspection of field survey activities to verify that the quality of work performed complies with project specifications and drawings.
