The Position
Are you looking to get started in the field of Risk Management? Join our team as a Risk Management Coordinator and build your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment. You’ll provide broad departmental support across multiple functions, including executing shipping requests, assisting with data maintenance in the Risk Management Information System (RMIS), and supporting business insurance projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Risk Management team by executing administrative tasks across various projects and functions
- Manage shipping requests and documentation to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials
- Assist with the maintenance and data entry of the Risk Management Information System (RMIS)
- Track and review lease requirements to ensure insurance compliance and contractual obligations are met
- Request, issue, and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) as needed for vendors, clients, or internal teams
- Gather, organize, and prepare renewal data to support business insurance projects and coverage reviews
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal inquiries related to insurance, leases, or compliance documentation
- Collaborate with team members and departments to support ongoing risk and asset protection initiatives
- Maintain organized records and help ensure accuracy in all risk management documentation
- Assist with project coordination and general departmental support as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No immediate direct reports
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Smartsheets required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Organizational and project management abilities
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of Risk Management processes including coverage placement, contract review, insurance compliance, claims handling, and asset protection strategies
Work Environment
- On-site position located in Sparks, Nevada
- Ongoing part time contract – 20 hours per week (Flexible schedule: either 4 hours/day Monday–Friday or 5 hours/day Monday–Thursday)
Compensation
- Position offers an hourly W2 Rate between $25 - $32, with additional benefits
Requirements
- Because this client is a Federal Government Contractor performing services for the DoD, US Air Force, NASA and others, they do require US, Non-Dual Citizenship
