The Position
In this role, you will apply your engineering expertise to support the Airborne Mission Network (AbMN) C-130 program by developing precise engineering definitions and technical documentation. You will create and review layouts, drawings, and 3D models to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with program requirements. Your work will contribute to complex technical data packages that include parts, assemblies, advanced mission payloads, and electronic systems. Additionally, you will identify design errors, omissions, or deficiencies and provide recommendations for revisions and improvements to enhance quality, reliability, and performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering definitions and technical documentation for the Airborne Mission Network (AbMN) C-130 program
- Create and review layouts, drawings, and 3D models to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness
- Contribute to complex technical data packages, including parts, assemblies, and advanced mission payloads
- Identify and resolve design errors, omissions, and deficiencies to improve quality and functionality
- Recommend and implement design revisions or improvements to optimize performance and reliability
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure integration of electronic systems and mission-critical components
- Support compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and program requirements
- Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
- Frequently repeat the same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
- Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No immediate direct reports
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 3 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Understanding of engineering principles and practices, including configuration management
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and drafting practices using SOLIDWORKS
- Working knowledge of ASME and Government standards
- Prior experience applying and interpreting
- Knowledge of industry-standard design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware and or electrical component selection, fabrication, manufacturing, and production processes
Preferred Experience
- Preferred experience with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) and 3Dxperience (PLM) software
- Associates or Technical Degree in a related field Background in the Aerospace & Defense Industry preferred
Work Environment
- On-site position located in Englewood, Colorado
- This is a 6-month contract
Compensation
- Position offers an hourly W2 Rate between $35 - $40, with additional benefits
Requirements
- Because this client is a Federal Government Contractor performing services for the DoD, US Air Force, NASA and others, they do require US, Non-Dual Citizenship
