What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer/Advisor position at H2 Equipment LLC?
What you’ll do:
- Listen to customers and accurately document equipment concerns and service requests.
- Create and manage work orders, keeping repair details organized and complete.
- Coordinate with technicians and shop leadership on scheduling, repair progress, and customer needs.
- Communicate estimates, obtain approvals, and provide timely updates.
- Handle difficult conversations professionally, defuse tense situations, and help find solutions.
- Operate and move equipment as needed, following proper training and safety procedures.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in EQUIPMENT service writing or a related field
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair processes

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills for entering and retrieving information from the system
Equipment or service department experience is a plus. Initiative, accountability, and a willingness to learn are essential.
