Equipment Operator will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment on industrial and commercial jobsites. The Equipment operator role requires experience in Equipment Operation, attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. In addition to Equipment Operation, this position will also assist electricians and other field staff as needed. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment mainly excavator, but may also be required to operate lulls, lifts and tuggers.
- Assist electricians and field staff as needed when not operating equipment.
- Perform excavation and digging tasks as required for construction projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery.
- Ability to operate various types of equipment including bulldozers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks and backhoes.
- Valid drivers license is mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
