Duties
- Operate equipment mainly excavator, but may also be required to operate lulls, lifts and tuggers.
- Assist electricians and field staff as needed when not operating equipment.
- Perform excavation and digging tasks as required for construction projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery.
- Ability to operate various types of equipment including bulldozers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks and backhoes.
- Valid drivers license is mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
