H.T. Lyons, an HVAC mechanical contractor, is seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. This position requires you to travel to our clients in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing and supporting company safety program implementation across active H.T. Lyons projects.
- Travel to project sites (mainly Pennsylvania & New Jersey) via company vehicle.
- Conduct documented daily safety inspections and provide ongoing safety guidance to our teams (both employees and subcontractors).
- Identify hazards, developing safe work plans, and coordinating with clients and their safety representatives.
- Respond to incidents, conducting incident investigations, completing all required documentation, and report as per protocol.
- Assist site management teams with safety related documentation and compliance tracking.
- Ensure customer safety requirements are met and properly documented.
- Perform new hire safety orientation and onboarding.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in safety management
- 5-10 years of experience working as a Safety Manager (Construction Industry is preferred)
- Thorough understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills along with exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Valid qualifications/certifications in occupational health and safety
- Willing to travel 2 hour circumference of Allentown, PA. to customer sites
