Planner/Dispatcher (Transportation)

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing the various resources at hand, processes and ensuring efficient logistics planning. This position requires a strong understanding of transportation and the process of picking up a load, staying connected to drivers and reporting any issues that may arise.

4 Day/10HR days: WED-SAT 7AM-5:30PM

***MUST HAVE DISPATCH OR TRANSPORTATION/LOGISTICS EXPERIENCE***

Job Duties include:

• Process Bill of Lading and associated shipping and receiving documents.
• Provide a strong level of customer service to internal and external customers
• Maintain Inbound and Outbound Schedules
• Work closely with fellow planners, and dispatch clerks to accomplish shift goals.
• Report errors and/ or issues to appropriate member of leadership to ensure accuracy Participate in all training programs provided
• Performs all duties in a safe and timely manner.
• Manage your own work pace to accomplish all task within an 10-hour day
• Must be reliable and must be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Must be respectful to all, including Owner/Operators, vendors, clients and fellow employees
• Must follow attendance and Punctuality policy. Consider absenteeism, punctuality, and adherence to specified lunch periods and break times.
• Must work over time when required.
• Good work ethic and can work well with others
• Must follow all company policies and procedures
• Must follow safety always

Skills and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• 100% Committed to executing exceptional customer service and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
• Ability to manage time and workload to accomplish all necessary task in a timely manner
• Strong ability to communicate concisely via email, phone conversation, and person to person
• Basic computer skills and data entry
• Basic math skills
• At least 1 year of Dispatch experience needed
• Bilingual is a preferred (Spanish)
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal and external customers.
• experience preferred Basic math and reading skills necessary
• Detailed oriented with the ability to perform multiple task in fast moving environment Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction.
• Reliable and flexible

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
