Overview: The Fuel Truck Driver will be responsible for loading and delivering tanker loads of petroleum products, at the bulk facility for submarines and/or other vessels & fuel sites at NSB Kings Bay, GA.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Current commercial driver’s license (CDL), Class A, Type I is required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years CDL driving experience with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements is required.
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Current Driver Certification Card (Physical) is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is required. The incumbent will be subject to an in-depth security background screening/investigation for access to naval base.
Fundamental/Essential Functions:
- Responsible for loading fuel tank at bulk fuel facility
- Delivers fuel by preparing, loading, unloading, and operating a fuel truck/tractor.
- Accurately records all mileage to ensure proper computation; maintains record of
- Dispensed fuel and provides fuel accounting documentations.
- Maintains accurate accounting of truck inventory.
- Demonstrates an ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volumes.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of and compliance with all DOT industry and company safety regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation.
- Any/all other (related) duties as assigned.
