Overview
Now hiring Backhoe Operator's in an oil and gas industrial environment. You will be operating a heavy construction backhoe, to execute excavation, grading, utility work, and paving projects. The work is in the Bill Greehey Refinery located in Corpus Christi, Texas. The work schedule is 4/10's for 10 weeks.
Duties
- Operate backhoe safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Perform excavation tasks for utilities, foundations, drainage systems, and paving projects in accordance with project specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with equipment safety procedures
- Assist with construction grading to achieve precise levels and slopes for roads and utilities.
- Operate a backhoe with precision avoiding existing underground utilities, product and water transport lines to prevent damage or accidents
- Support construction utility work by installing or repairing underground pipelines and conduits following federal construction safety regulations
- Follow all safety regulations and construction site protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and equipment safety procedures
- Familiarity with horizontal digging techniques
- Ability to interpret construction plans and perform precise excavation and grading work
- Valid driver’s license
- TWIC
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations applicable to heavy equipment operation.
Pay: $32.50 - $34.50 per hour
