Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments accurately using proper packaging materials and techniques.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and move stock within the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track inventory levels, process orders, and update shipment statuses in real-time.
- Conduct order picking and packing with precision to ensure correct items are shipped according to customer specifications.
- Manage shipping & receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders using basic math skills for quantity checks.
- Stock shelves, organize pallets, and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment for optimal workflow.
- Assist with inventory control tasks such as cycle counts, stock replenishment, and updating records in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating load & unload operations for trucks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse efficiency through continuous process improvements in order fulfillment and packaging.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with exposure to shipping & receiving processes.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or similar equipment preferred; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or other ERP platforms such as MRP systems.
- Knowledge of order picking & packing procedures within e-commerce or distribution centers.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to order fulfillment.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely with warehouse equipment like forklifts and reach trucks while following safety guidelines.
- Warehouse experience involving stock management, order fulfillment, packaging techniques, and load/unload operations.
