Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various manufacturing machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses to produce parts according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment using CAM programming, CNC programming languages, Fanuc controls, and other industrial automation tools.
- Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision measuring instruments; interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for quality assurance.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Operate forklifts and handle materials safely within the production area; manage materials handling and packaging of finished products.
- Follow safety standards in production environments, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes including CNC programming, CAM programming, and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
- Experience with Fanuc controls and interpreting mechanical blueprints for fabrication or assembly tasks.
- Proficiency in operating various shop tools such as calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and tooling equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret manufacturing specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with factory safety standards, quality control procedures, and dimensional measurement techniques like GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication processes including stamping presses, press brake machines, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Basic math skills for shop calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and production documentation.
