Duties
- Operate front end loaders and other construction machinery such as excavators and water trucks to perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to equipment safety procedures
- Assist with construction utility work, including utility locating and site preparation activities
- Support excavation projects by loading and transporting materials efficiently across construction sites
- Follow federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with other construction personnel to execute site grading, utility installation, and backhoe operations
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as front end loaders, excavators, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred
- Knowledge of construction site safety regulations including federal safety standards and equipment safety procedures
- Ability to perform construction grading, excavation, utility locating, and utility work effectively
- Prior construction site experience with familiarity in construction utility work and general construction processes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work safely following all safety regulations
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
