Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience supporting federal agency policies, meeting planning, program administration, and/or Congressional engagements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures related to administration, management, and program support.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage comprehensive and detailed information.
- Understanding of organizational administrative and management functions, including applicable policies, precedents, procedures, and guidelines.
- Familiarity with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and related advisory committee processes.
- Ability to identify problems, develop practical solutions, and effectively support and defend recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear guidelines, procedures, and recommendations.
- Ability to maintain accurate membership records and related advisory committee documentation.
- Experience supporting advisory committee meeting planning, including agenda development, meeting coordination, distribution of materials, note-taking, and follow-up activities.
- Ability to support controlled correspondence requirements, including preparation of memoranda, point papers, draft letters, briefing materials, and related correspondence.
- Ability to develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for advisory committee and program activities.
- Ability to support Coast Survey Directors’ engagements, meetings, briefings, and related coordination activities.
