Your role within the team
We are seeking an experienced regulatory manager, which reports directly to Directory of Regulatory (Pet Nutrition Care - PNC). This person will be managing all PNC brands and products for the related state compliance requirements, label compliance, collaborating and assisting in packaging creation process. The regulatory manager will have responsibility for regulatory related activities being timely managed and executed and be able to support the day-to-day activities together with his/her manager and the rest of the team.
Duties & Responsibility
State Compliance:
- Responsible for ensuring compliance in each required State, including submitting yearly license renewals and product registrations and quarterly tonnage reports.
- Work collaboratively with Finance to ensure timely payment.
- Maintaining detailed state compliance records and updating retailer platforms as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records on internal company platforms of all regulatory related documents including labels, state compliance, and product dossiers.
Product Development:
- As part of the regulatory affairs team, you will help provide guidance and support to a cross functional team including marketing, product development and legal concerning product / label compliance with all applicable bodies including FDA, AAFCO, and NASC.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of product labeling documents including all technical and legal information required on the product labels, claims, and claim substantiation
- Assist in reviewing and approving new product development labels and existing product labels for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Facilitate label review and approval with co-manufacturers as needed.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Work effectively with all teams including Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Sales and Quality to ensure regulatory compliance and project success. Assist International Regulatory with documentation as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 4-5 years of experience in Pet Food industry with solid experience in regulatory department
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Food Science or related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office and applications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize workload effectively
- Self-starter who thrives in team environment and autonomous working
This position requires local employees to work in the office 3 days per week. Office is located in Orlando, FL near UCF's campus.
