Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Connects business needs to learning solutions. Designs learning journeys and programs based on analysis, strategy & performance gaps. Diagnoses performance gaps and recommending strategic learning interventions.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Partners with Leaders, HR, and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and recommend content solutions that align with organizational goals and talent strategies.
  • Provides expert guidance on the design, structure, and delivery of learning content, ensuring alignment with learning principles, accessibility standards, and learner engagement best practices.
  • Manages the intake, prioritization, and advisory process for learning content requests, ensuring timely and strategic support for H-E-B learning initiatives.
  • Maintains alignment of learning content with H-E-B capability frameworks, leadership models, and brand standards across all learning modalities.
  • Works closely with Content Developers to ensure content solutions are effective, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Champion the use of evidence-based learning strategies, including blended learning, experiential learning, and performance support tools.
  • Use feedback, learner data, and performance metrics to assess the impact of learning content and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide content advisory support for enterprise change efforts, ensuring learning solutions effectively drive adoption and capability development.
  • Lead a team of Content Advisors or consultants, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and learner-centered culture.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

Leads supervisors and/or less experienced professionals (2 or more) who exercise latitude and independence. May lead one or more teams or departments, making decisions based on business objectives and allocated resources, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments. Executes and modifies company policies, implementing new standards, products, processes, and mid-term business plans for assigned unit(s). Directs team to complete objectives-oriented assignments of by looking beyond existing methodologies and implementing strategic policies to resolve complex issues with significant cross-functional impact. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the group/function.

Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals will result in critical delays in schedules and/or group operations which may jeopardize overall business activities.

Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing. Responsible for hiring, firing, and performance/pay reviews.

Bachelor's/master's degree in a relevant field of education and/or work experience leading successful projects and coaching/mentoring others in a group or team/department. Completion of H-E-B leadership programs where applicable.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Function in a fast-paced, office environment
  • Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
  • Work extended hours; sit for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more
