Summary Of Position
The Forecasting & Demand Planning Analyst supports demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supply chain decision-making across assigned products and customers. This role helps ensure the business has the right products in the right place at the right time by analyzing sales trends, monitoring demand, and supporting planning activities across the supply chain.
The analyst monitors demand at the item, collection, and customer level and provides forecasts and information needed to support purchasing, production, inventory control, transportation, and distribution operations. This role gathers data, tracks KPIs, prepares reports, and helps identify risks, trends, and opportunities that may impact service levels and inventory performance.
The position works closely with Sales, Marketing, Inventory Planning, and international partners to improve forecast accuracy and support business goals.

Imported and sourced furniture products, with support for domestic manufacturing as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using sales history, market trends, promotions, and business input.
- Monitor demand at the item, collection, business segment, and customer level.
- Support monthly forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities.
- Review forecast performance and identify risks, changes, and opportunities.
- Help improve forecast accuracy and inventory flow.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Inventory Planning, and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts and business needs.
- Gather and analyze sales, inventory, and supply chain data.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, graphs, charts, and KPI tracking tools.
- Provide reporting and performance updates to management.
- Analyze sales performance versus forecast and explain key drivers and trends.
- Support planning meetings, budgeting activities, and business reviews with data and analysis.
- Use forecasting tools, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled tools to support planning and decision-making.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, inventory control, transportation, and distribution teams to support supply chain performance.
- Maintain forecast data, planning settings, and item information within ERP and forecasting systems.
- Review inventory levels, stocking targets, and demand changes to support customer service goals.
- Monitor unusual demand patterns and help resolve inventory or supply issues.
- Support continuous improvement projects and additional planning activities as assigned.
- Experience in forecasting, demand planning, supply chain, inventory management, analytics, operations, or related business functions preferred.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.
- Experience with ERP systems, forecasting software, or reporting platforms preferred.
- Ability to analyze data and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and business data.
- Experience with AI-enabled tools, dashboards, or analytics platforms is a plus.
- Experience with forecasting and planning software such as John Galt Atlas, Microsoft D365, Power BI, Tableau, Claude, or similar tools is helpful.
- A college degree is not required. Equivalent experience, skills, and demonstrated ability are equally valued.
