No Experience CDL-A Driver – Local Kroger account - Acton, IN

Start your CDL career with a local position that gets you home every day. MJP is hiring CDL-A solo drivers in Acton, IN and encourages recent CDL graduates to apply. Paid training, practical instruction, and daily support help new drivers build confidence while earning weekly pay and gaining real-world experience.

Pay & Compensation

• Weekly pay: $1,300–$1,500/week
• Annual equivalent: $68,000–$78,000/year
• CPM Rate: 56¢–61¢ (increases by 1 CPM each year for up to 5 years)
• Unload pay: $55 per trailer
• Miles: ~1,500 - 2,000 per week
• Sign-on bonus: $2,500 (paid over the period of 6 months)

Home Time

• Home every day
• Night shift

Orientation

• One-day paid orientation covering safety procedures, equipment walkthrough, drug screening, and skills assessment for new drivers
• Orientation pay: $300 paid with your first paycheck
• Transportation and accommodation covered during orientation

Freight & Routes

Drivers haul dedicated Kroger freight throughout Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio on a regional account. The position includes touch-freight deliveries with pallet jack assistance at customer locations. Established routes and a steady flow of freight help provide reliable miles and ongoing work.

Equipment

• 2022 or newer Freightliner Cascadia
• Drivers will get an assigned truck
• All trucks are automatic - drivers with manual restrictions are welcome

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license required
• No prior experience needed
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must reside within 75 miles of Acton, IN
• Basic load securement awareness required (no unloading)
• No major violations in the last 12 months
• MVR checked for last 3 years
• Background check for last 10 years
• Must pass hair & urine drug test

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on regional routes
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and delivery paperwork
• Deliver freight safely and on time
• Operate automatic tractor with 48’–53’ trailer
• Follow all DOT and FMCSA regulations
