Key Responsibilities
- Assist prospective and current students in completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Follow up with students to obtain required documentation needed to complete financial aid files
- Track and collect financial aid documents such as tax returns, verification forms, and supporting materials
- Communicate regularly with students to ensure financial aid applications are completed accurately and on time
- Provide guidance on financial aid processes and next steps for funding their education
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with federal and institutional regulations
- Coordinate with the Financial Aid team and campus leadership to ensure timely processing of aid applications
- Perform data entry and maintain organized records of student files
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to financial aid processing
- Provide excellent customer service to students in person, by phone, and by email
- The role supports the broader financial aid process described in the Financial Aid department’s responsibilities, including assisting with documentation and eligibility verification.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly with students and families
