1. PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This employee is responsible for performing hydrotesting on valve bodies and fittings to validate conformance to quality specifications.
2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

· Identify product being tested is in accordance to the domestic or customer specifications.
· Verify that paperwork is completed to this stage and information matches product.
· Select correct adapter to secure product in test stand. Mount part into test stand.
· Inspect valves for leaks in casting, forging, seats etc. and notify supervisory personnel if a nonconforming condition is disclosed.
· When test is passed successfully, remove product from test machine, fill out appropriate paperwork and attach to valve.
· Load product onto a pallet for transfer to next operation.
3. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Involve extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching.
· Regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, sit, climb, talk or hear.
· Lift and/or move objects: Regularly: 10-50lbs.; Occasionally: up to 100 lbs.
· Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
4. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Often work in indoor environments that do not have heat or air conditioning.
· May occasionally work outdoors.
· Wear safety attire, such as safety glasses, safety gloves and other as applicable.
· Work close to other people, such as when sharing office space.
· May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds or noise levels.
5. TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES
· Must be familiar with safety practices for equipment, lock-out/tag-out, and use of personnel protection equipment (PPE).
· Must possess a current Fork Truck Awareness certification and Visual Acuity certification.
· Must have working knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe) as directed by Management.
6. QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have at a minimum of a high school diploma or hold a GED certificate.
· Experience in manufacturing with valves, valve pressurization or flow control products.
· A clear understanding of the use of manufacturing tools and equipment.
· Must have understanding and strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations.
· Must be able to read assembly blueprints/drawings and bills of materials.
· Strong communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within an organization.
7. TRAINING:
· QMS Familiarization, initially and whenever revisions occur to applicable quality system documents and/or where positions are changed and/or where job requirements are changed or modified.
· Personnel whose work can affect quality should be informed about the consequences to the customer of nonconformity to quality requirements.
· Ensure that employee is aware of the relevance and importance of his/her activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives.
· Applicable MSDS’s as required.
· Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures where required by local, state and/or national law.
8. WORK PERFORMANCE:
· Must be exact in their work. Errors could seriously endanger workers.
· Must repeat the same activities.
· Must be able to meet strict deadlines on a daily basis.
9. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
