What are the responsibilities and job description for the 126970 INSTRUCTOR: Religion (and ideally History and Philosophy) position at gvltec?
- Teach a variety of Religion courses in face-to-face and online formats. Specifically, we need someone to teach REL 101 (Introduction to Religion) and REL 201 (World Religions).
- Teach the interdisciplinary course Leadership Through the Humanities (HSS 295) as needed.
- Teach courses in Philosophy or History, as needed, depending on credentials.
- Prepare lectures, syllabi, course schedules, tests, and other course-related materials
- Grade papers and submit students' grades in a timely manner
- Advise students on academic progress in the course
- Maintain course-related records
- Attend departmental meetings and other functions as required
- Attend professional development workshops as required
- Complete other necessary paperwork as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
