Billing Systems Specialist

GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of Billing Systems Specialist to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As a Billing Systems Specialist, you will oversee scheduling and daily billing functionality, provide insight and solutions to billing questions and concerns, meter data collection and backup and support for other daily processes in the CIS department.

Your Pay

• Utilize NISC, a third-party billing vendor, to create workflows, resolve trouble tickets, and implement new processes

• Oversee billing processes, as well as manage delinquent accounts and collections on a daily and monthly basis

• Regularly maintain and update software releases as necessary, while working with NISC to find solutions for future billing system needs

• Complete Service Order processing, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date

• Take an active role in gaining knowledge and assisting with various daily responsibilities related to the Customer Information System (CIS) to ensure team continuity and support

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and confidently

• Effective problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting minor issues independently

• Ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

• Self-motivation, a strong work ethic and impeccable integrity

• A team player open to constructive criticism to help evolve the team

• Available after hours and weekends as needed

• Must be detail-oriented and thorough

• Knowledge of NISC
