GV Public Relations (GVPR) is an award-winning boutique public relations agency that specializes in travel, hospitality, lifestyle, and wellness. We are seeking a New York City-based Account Executive to join our growing team! Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years PR experience with a demonstrated background in travel and hospitality. Must have strong media contacts and the ability to balance priorities efficiently and effectively across several accounts.
Job Responsibilities:
Write press releases and pitches, draft annual PR plans, etc.
Arrange client visits, tours, dining experiences, and more for media and influencers.
Coordinate press trips to hotel clients.
Secure consistent and impactful media coverage and measurement.
Participate in new business brainstorms and presentations and help create proposals.
Maintain client relationships through meetings, conference calls, daily email and phone contact, agendas, reports, etc.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists and influencers by attending events and networking, etc.
Ideate and broker partnerships for creative campaigns.
Implement and manage strategic events and brand activations.
Strong awareness of current events/news and industry trends.
Must be a collaborative team player and a proactive self-starter.
Must possess a genuine passion for public relations and the hospitality/travel industry.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree.
2-3 years work experience in travel/hospitality PR; previous agency experience preferred.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Portfolio of secured media coverage including magazine, newspaper, broadcast, and online placements.
Comprehensive knowledge of the media and influencers, especially within the hospitality/travel space.
Comprehensive knowledge of the hospitality/travel industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of social media networks (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
Familiarity with media databases and PR tools like Muck Rack, Cision/PR Newswire, CoverageBook, etc.
Consistently professional in demeanor and communication.
Must be based in New York City and able to attend frequent in-person meetings and events.
