Overview Description
Guzman Engineering, PLLC is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer III to join our growing water and wastewater infrastructure design team. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the planning, design, and execution of electrical systems that support critical municipal and industrial utility projects across Texas.
As an Electrical Engineer III, you will work alongside engineers and designers to develop detailed construction documents, perform technical calculations, and gain exposure to all facets of electrical engineering in the consulting services environment. This is an ideal role for a candidate who is eager to expand knowledge, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
The ideal candidate is someone between 6 - 12 years of experience that isn't focused on purely being a project manager but designing, teaching, and growing with the team. Experience in water/wastewater facilities desired. The ideal candidate has expeirence with projects with an electrical construction cost of less than $12 Million.
Duties
Perform wire and conduit sizing calculations in accordance with NEC and project standards.
Design markups for CAD production team
Conduct load analysis and arc flash studies for low and medium voltage power systems.
Develop construction drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.
Execute conduit fill and voltage drop calculations to ensure system compliance and constructability.
Assist in technical writing and preparation of construction specifications and design reports.
Support marketing and client meetings by providing technical input and presenting design concepts.
Collaborate closely with senior engineers for mentorship and project guidance.
Collaborate closely with design team for camaraderie and grow together
Work with the CAD production team to improve drafting standards and CAD efficiency.
Participate in interdisciplinary design coordination with civil, structural, and mechanical teams.
