Heavy Equipment Operator - Freedom, NY - $17-$27 per hour

Responsibilities

Job description

• Operates a variety of “Heavy Equipment” machines used in the transport of materials on
• Company property.
• Positions material to be transported in a Safe and Secure fashion prior to transport
• Maintains clear vision while during transport
• Unloads slowly controlling proper placement of transported materials
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment
• Performs daily inspections noting any fluid leaks or potential operating problem areas
• Actively participates as a team player in performing equipment maintenance
• Is constantly observing the area around this work station so as not to endanger personnel or Company property.
• Properly secures machine before leaving the cab
• Must be able to achieve and sustain an production pace enabling the accomplishment of goals.
• Accurate Scale and Grade of all logs received into the GLC yard.

Species

• May be required to lift boards/equipment ranging in weight from 25 - 100 lbs.
• Must be capable of climbing stairs.

• Held accountable for the housekeeping surrounding this work area including the
  
  

inside of the cab.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Work gloves are required in this area.
  
  

Pre-assignment Training

• Employee will be supervised in operation to ensure safety standards are understood
  
  

and practices prior to authorizing the use of this piece of equipment
