What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Softball Coach position at Gustavus Adolphus College?
The Assistant Coach will support the development of Division III student-athletes within the softball program. An Assistant Coach is expected to attend practices, games, and team travel events, and to uphold the standards of Gustavus Adolphus College, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), and the NCAA.
Employment Type: Part-time (.13 FTE), Exempt (Salaried), Non-Benefits Eligible
This is a part-time, seasonal position aligned with the collegiate softball calendar. Regular attendance at practices, games, and team travel is expected.
Salary Range: $5,000-$8,000

Main Responsibilities
- Provide technical instruction, development, and mentorship to athletes.
- Attend and actively participate in practices and games, including team travel.
- Assist with on-field organization and support during team training sessions.
- Contribute to the positive team culture and support the academic and athletic growth of student-athletes.
- Represent the program and College in a professional manner during all official team functions.
- Adhere to and support all Gustavus, MIAC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
