Duties
- Plan and execute engaging softball practices tailored to 10U players, focusing on fundamental skills such as hitting, fielding, pitching, and base running
- Lead team during games, providing clear instructions and motivating players to perform their best while maintaining a fun and supportive environment
- Teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behavior management strategies to young athletes
- Monitor player safety during practices and games, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper equipment use
- Foster a love for softball by encouraging participation in drills, competitions, and team-building activities
- Collaborate with assistant coaches and program coordinators to organize schedules, tournaments, and special events
Requirements
- Strong background in softball preferred experience with 10U age group is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds while maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with players, parents, and team staff
- Must be available for in person practice 2-3 days a week and 2-3 tournaments a month.
